There are three ways to maintain a sewer line with tree root infiltration.
- CHEMICALS - There are a few products on the market that you can put in your sewer that will inhibit root growth. We prefer Root-X. It is a foaming product that fills your sewer edge to edge and is absorbed into the roots growing into the sewer line. It is a safe product and will not harm the environment or kill the tree that is sending those nasty roots into your sewer.
- CABLE - Once you know you have a root problem you can be proactive and set up a maintenance schedule to have Best Plumbing come out one or twice a year and we can use a cable to cut the roots out of your sewer before they cause you to back up.
- JETT - Best Plumbing can come out with a high-pressure water jet machine to use water pressure to cut the root growth out of your line. This method is the most effective way to clean your sewer and remove the most amount of root growth.
Remember... all of the above methods are maintenance. If neglected the roots will grow unchecked and may damage your sewer line beyond the reach of chemicals, cables or jets and then you are forced into a costly repair that may have been prevented. Once roots get into your sewer, they will always be there and will always get worse. Call us at (513) 785-0957 today so we can go over your options and help save you money.
